Dr Rahim Kanji

Dr Rahim Kanji is an outstanding Consultant Cardiologist, working at OneWelbeck, the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and the Hammersmith Hospital, part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Dr Kanji is an expert in ischaemic heart disease, and investigates patients with chest pain and symptoms suggestive of coronary artery disease with non-invasive tests, as well as invasive angiography, and treats with balloons and stents (angioplasty) as required. For this, he uses the latest technologies and best equipment, including intravascular imaging, ensuring the best possible, tailored treatment, minimising the risk of stent failure and further heart attacks.

He is also considered a pioneer in the virtual wards and virtual hospital space. Dr Kanji is the lead for the virtual chest pain ward at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he has extensive experience, and has managed the largest cohort of patients in the London. Prof Ramzi Khamis

Professor Ramzi Khamis MBChB DIC PhD FESC FRCP is a consultant cardiologist at OneWelbeck Heart Health, with special interests in high-risk coronary artery disease, general and interventional cardiology, and the interface between cardiovascular and immune-mediated disease.

Nehal N. Mehta, M.D., MS, MSCE, FAHA, FACP is a clinical professor of medicine at George Washington University and a cardiovascular inflammatory specialist at the University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded the Inaugural Lasker Clinical Research Scholar Award in 2012 from the National Institutes of Health where he was the founding Principal Investigator of the largest cohort study of atherosclerosis in psoriasis. His group was the first to show favorable impact of treatment of inflammation in humans on coronary inflammation and high-risk coronary plaque. His group provided fundamental proof in humans of the dangerous impact of untreated inflammation on coronary vascular health. Prof. Mehta has published over 250 papers on inflammation and cardiometabolic health, and continues to lead several efforts to curb cardiovascular events in predisposed populations.
